To teach others, you first have to be a disciple yourself. A disciple is simply someone who follows a teacher and their teaching. Our Teacher is Jesus. As His disciples, we follow Him and what His Word teaches. The joy that comes from a relationship with God makes us want to share it and tell others about Jesus. Many people don’t do this — not because they don’t want to, but because they don’t understand the Bible well enough. They feel intimidated in conversations about Jesus and the Bible, afraid they won’t be able to answer the questions they’re asked. They don’t want to embarrass themselves or look foolish.
That’s exactly why Charis Bible College teaches how to be a disciple of Jesus and how to effectively share the truth that lives in us — and above all, how to answer when someone asks you: “There’s something different about you… tell me what it is?”
