The well-known Christian prophet John Paul Jackson, who has since passed away, gave a prophecy some time ago about Russia and Ukraine and about future events in the world. One such prophecy was published back in 2008 as part of a larger prophetic word called “The Perfect Storm.”
That prophecy touched on a number of different events – among them extreme weather phenomena, earthquakes, and the future of the United States. John Paul Jackson also spoke about the Russo-Ukrainian war.
He prophesied, among other things, that Russia would want to increase tension in the world and provoke an oil crisis, and that it would seek to take control of Ukraine. He said Russia would also continue arming Iran in order to escalate a conflict that would drive up the price of oil.
J. P. Jackson argued that Russia would need this rise in prices in order to, among other things, rebuild its former power and meet its financial obligations.
“This ‘new mother Russia’ mentality will try to rebuild the old Soviet Union, though it may not be called the Soviet Union again. That I don’t know. But I do know that Russia is raising its head again, and the old monster is waking up from hibernation.”
“The need for money to revive Russia’s failing economy will be a driving reason behind its invasion of Ukraine.”
“Russia will begin embracing a new nationalism. It will provoke a crisis in order to stir up that nationalism, realizing that it is losing its young people. Putin will come back into the game and begin clashing with Medvedev. Putin will take control, but there is a third person still behind the scenes who is even more ruthless. He will eventually appear on the stage. He isn’t there yet, but he will appear, and Putin is preparing the way for his arrival. He is not the antichrist, because the antichrist will come from another place, but this is part of the end-times scenario. Russia will eventually blackmail many of the small countries that were once part of the Soviet bloc and will demand that they join a completely new alliance, a new agreement. Among the countries being pressured will be Poland, and I hope it does not give in. There will also be the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Slavic nations, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine. Russia will tell them: if you want our oil and gas, you will join this, because if you don’t, tomorrow we will shut off the pipeline. Russia will wait until the price of gas has risen enough that it can cut off the pipeline to these countries and still keep functioning economically.”
John Paul Jackson also foretold many other events that have already come to pass, such as the change of Egypt’s president, the expansion of the scale used to measure the strength of tornadoes, and many others.
Some of his prophecies are still awaiting fulfillment, such as the collapse of the dollar, the rise of a single world currency, and a planned assassination attempt on President Obama by Islamist extremists. Below I have included some of his published prophecies:
